Kevin Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh List Highest Base Price Ahead of Indian Premier League Auction
Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh, who was the most expensive buy in the previous Indian Premier League auction, were both released last year by their franchises - Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils, respectively.

According to a report in 'ESPN Cricinfo', apart from Yuvraj, who was the most expensive buy in the previous IPL auction, and Pietersen, in-form Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, his countryman Shane Watson and Indian pacer Ishant Sharma are among the 12 players who have listed the highest base price.

Others in the Rs 2 crore bracket are Ashish Nehra, Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Binny, Sanju Samson, Dhawal Kulkarni, Kane Richardson and 40-year-old Australian all-rounder Michael Hussey.
South African pacer Dale Steyn, India's Mohit Sharma and Englishman Jos Butler are part of the Rs 1.5 crore group, while Irfan Pathan and Tim Southee are in the Rs 1 crore cluster.
"A total of 61 players were released by the six franchises when the first trading window closed on December 31," the report stated.

Delhi Daredevils'>Delhi Daredevils (Rs 37.15 crore), Kings XI Punjab (Rs 23 crore), Kolkata Knight Riders (Rs 17.95 crore), Mumbai Indians'>Mumbai Indians (Rs 14.405 crore), Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rs 21.625 crore), Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs 30.15 crore), Rising Pune Super Giants (Rs 27 crore), Rajkot (Rs 27 crore).
