New Zealand defeated Scotland by 16 runs in their Super 12 fixture of the T20 World Cup on Wednesday, at the Dubai International Stadium. New Zealand initially posted 172 for five in 20 overs, courtesy of a 93-run knock by Martin Guptill. The Blackcaps opener was in top form and also smashed six fours and seven sixes. Safyaan Sharif was in decent form for Scotland, taking two wickets in four overs. Chasing a target of 173, Scotland could only reach 156 for five in 20 overs with Michael Leask playing an unbeaten knock of 42 runs.
