A decorated Indian contingent aims to reach an unprecedented medal tally in the 2024 Paris Paralympic games. After securing its best-ever medal tally of 19 medals at the Tokyo Paralympics, the Paris Games will see a whopping 84 para-athletes competing, a record in India’s history at the Para-Games. Athletes like Sumit Antil [men's javelin throw F64], Krishna Nagar [men's badminton singles SH6], Manish Narwal [men's shooting 50m pistol SH1] and Avani Lekhara [women's 10m air rifle shooting standing SH1] are some of the top names that the entire India would be keeping an eye on.
While there remain a number of events where podium finishes are expected, India also have athletes representing in new disciplines in the Paris Para-Games 2024. Para cycling, para rowing and blind judo are the events in which Indians will be participating for the first time in history. India’s participation will be spread across 12 events at the Paris Para-Games.
