IPL 2018 Highlights Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Daredevils: The Ajinkya Rahane-led team beat Daredevils by 10 runs (DLS).
Rajasthan Royals produced an all-round performance as they beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 run s(DLS) in a rain-marred match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday. Ajinkya Rahane's 45 and Ben Laughlin's 2/30 made sure that their team cross the finish line and secure the first win of the season. On the other hand the Gautam Gambhir-led team still remain without a win. The IPL returned to the Pink City after 2013 but rain played spoilsport for the major part, forcing D/L method to come into play after the hosts were 153/5 in 17.5 overs when it started drizzling. Delhi were given a revised target of 71 to chase in six overs but Australian pacer Ben Laughlin picked up the wickets of Glenn Maxwell (17) and Vijay Shankar while Jaydev Unadkat (1/24) accounted for Rishabh Pant (20) to never let Delhi come close to winning in harsh circumstances. 21:22 IST: OUT! Shami bowls a slower fuller delivery to dismiss Buttler. Brilliant thinking from Shami under pressure as he strips the pace off the ball and Buttler, who shuffled across the stumps to guide the ball down the leg-side, misses as the ball crashes into the middle-stump.

In the end, Rahane gets a leading edge only for Chris Morris at point to take a comfortable catch. The comfort zone of playing at home may give the desired dose of much needed confidence but the cracks exposed against Sunrisers need to be addressed quickly. The batting order in absence of Steve Smith looked brittle, the overseas players including Ben Stokes looked shaky against the spinners and the bowlers lost heart once the batsmen could put only 125 on the board. Barring a 49 by Sanju Samson, none of other the batsmen showed any confidence nor they could build any partnerships in their last match.
