Stanislas Wawrinka ousts Berdych to reach US Open last eight
Wawrinka, who reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final at the 2010 US Open, took two hours and 47 minutes to carve out a win.

Swiss ninth seed Stanislas Wawrinka reached the US Open quarter-finals on Tuesday by eliminating Czech fifth seed Tomas Berdych 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (8/6), 6-2 after two hours and 47 minutes.
Wawrinka, who reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final at the 2010 US Open, will play the winner of a later match between British third seed and defending champion Andy Murray and Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin. (Update: Murray dumps Istomin out)
