23:05 hrs IST: Chris Gayle: "The preparation has been really good, it's all about practising then doing it in the middle. The dew played a part as well. After facing the first over I took a while to get back on strike, but Marlon helped ease the pressure. We wanted to stay ahead of the run-rate, pleased to finish the game and not leave it to anyone else. I was pumped today. Before I went out, Sulieman Benn said 'entertain me'. The guys who play the IPL know it's a good wicket so we knew we always had a chance to chase it down. Hopefully we can move onto Sri Lanka now. Bangalore, my home town. Hopefully I can entertain again."

A team of big guns, West Indies need to combine on the biggest stage of T20 cricket. On paper, a team that has a Chris Gayle, a Dwayne Bravo and a Darren Sammy should start as automatic favourites in the shortest format of the game. West Indies have a 8-4 win loss record against England in T20 internationals. (World T20: West Indies Bank on Chris Gayle to Deliver Against England)
England play a lot of domestic T20. They have limited over specialists and also the men like Joe Root who can hold one end up if need be. Alex Hales, who smashed a 68-ball 99 against the West Indies in Nottingham in June 2012, will be the man to watch out for. Hales is probably the unluckiest man in T20 cricket. He was out for 99 versus South Africa in Port Elizabeth in February 2016. (T20 World Cup: England Must Find Brains to go With The Brawn)

It remains to be seen if this bunch can play with the same intensity and pride. The tournament's highest scorer Gayle, of course, will be key but England will have their plans for him.
