Pop singer Katy Perry is gearing up for her first ever performance in India at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League on Tuesday (April 3) in Chennai.

Pop singer Katy Perry is gearing up for her first ever performance in India at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League on Tuesday (April 3) in Chennai.
Katy, who will be landing in Chennai on Monday from Tokyo, tweeted: "Next stop, Chennai! Can't wait to see you, India."
She will be performing with Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Prabhu Deva at the gala opening ceremony.
The venue gates will be thrown open to the audience from 5:00 pm and the ceremony will start at 7.00 that will also see the captains of the nine teams.
The Twenty20 extravaganza will commence in Chennai on April 4 with the mouth-watering clash between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and two-time finalists Mumbai Indians.
But before the 54-day long tournament begins, a dazzling opening ceremony will be held on April 3 at the YMCA College of Physical Education grounds, Nandanam, Chennai.
