David Warner and Mitchell Marsh plundered India's bowlers in grand style as they smashed centuries to help Australia reach 330/7 in the fifth one-day international in Sydney on Saturday. For Warner, this was his fifth century and first against India while Mitchell Marsh slammed his maiden century. (SCORECARD)
The efforts by Warner and Marsh continued the trend of high scores in this series, with Australia going past 300 in four out of the five ODIs. For India, the bowlers conceded a score of 300-plus for the fifth time in six games. (Proud Father David Warner Misses Ton in Canberra)
Warner, who had missed the ODIs in Brisbane and Melbourne due to the birth of his daughter, came back in style for the fourth ODI in Canberra by smashing 93 off 92 balls.  (David Warner Blessed With Baby Girl)
On a pitch with some extra pace and bounce, Australia were jolted by the early loss of Aaron Finch. Warner got off to a fast start but was bogged down in the middle overs as the hosts lost some quick wickets. However, Australia were revived thanks to a 118-run stand between Warner and Marsh. The left-hander notched up his century by slicing Jasprit Bumrah to square third man for a couple
All of Warner's centuries have come in Australia. This is his second century in Sydney, with the first one coming against England in January 2015. This is his first ODI century after 10 months, the last being a massive 178 against Afghanistan in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup match in Perth.
Following Warner's departure for a glorious 122 off 113 balls, Marsh took over and he was given good support from Matthew Wade. He was especially severe on Umesh Yadav as he smashed him for 14, 16 and 14 runs in his three overs to put Australia on course for a big score. In the 46th over, he blasted Ishant down the ground to bring up his highest score.
He shared a 84-run stand with Wade and he brought up his landmark in the final over by walking to the off side and flicking Ishant to deep midwicket register his century off 81 balls. Thanks to the efforts of Warner and Marsh, Australia ended up on yet another 300-plus score.
This knock has thrilled Warner and his family, with his wife Candice putting out a picture on Twitter.
