With barely two days left for the start of the fourth and final Test against Australia, Dhoni - who retired from Tests at the end of the Melbourne match - is on standby for Wriddhiman Saha, according to Team Director Ravi Shastri. So, as the Indians sweated it out at the iconic venue, the 33-year-old too came out for his stretching routine. (Also read: Shastri hints Dhoni knew his time was up)

It was not all toil for the Indian players however. The training session was interspaced with 'selfie' sessions with fans with captain Virat Kohli obliging the waiting supporters. (Click here for more pics)

For Dhoni though, it was a casual warm-up session. He won't feature in Tests anymore but will continue to play ODIs and T20Is which also puts physical demands on the body of cricketers. (Also read: Sore hamstring rules Mitchell Johnson out of Sydney Test)

The Test series Down Under has already been lost but the Indians would be playing for pride before the tri-nation ODI series starting January 18. England would be joining the two teams.
