The American duo of Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan beat the Indian pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi in the final of the Men's doubles event 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets to win their third consecutive Australian Open title.
This is the Bryan brothers' 10th Grand Slam title and their 5th Australian crown.
The Indian veterans who teamed up again at the beginning of the year were trying to complete a career Slam as this is the only Grand Slam they have not won as a team.
The fairy tale for the Indian duo ended very early as the Bryan brothers were dominant in the very first set breaking early.
Paes and Bhupathi made a match of it in the second set but were broken in the crucial 9th game and the Bryans served out the match.
