David Warner, who often kept fans hooked with hilarious uploads on social media, is here with a question. Sharing a photograph of himself with a mask on, the SunRisers Hyderabad skipper has asked his Insta fam "how's the new look?". Warner is seen wearing a floppy hat, a pair of sunglasses and a team vest in the photo. The snap, which has received more than 2 lakh hearts within hours of being posted, has fans cheering for their favourite cricketer. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season begins on April 9. Warner will lead SRH in their first match of the campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 11.
Warner had left for India on March 30. One of the most active cricketers on social media, the Australian opener had then posted a photo with his daughters.
On Tuesday, Warner, in another social media post, unveiled the new jersey that SRH will wear in this edition of the IPL.
Not only will Warner be looking to continue leading the team successfully - SRH have progressed to the playoffs in all of the past five seasons - but he will also try to carry on his own successful run with the bat in the tournament.
Warner has notched up more than 500 runs every season since 2014. Last year, his 548 runs from 16 matches were instrumental in guiding an injury-depleted SRH into the playoffs once again.
With four centuries and 48 half-centuries, Warner is the third-highest run-scorer overall and top scorer among overseas players in IPL history.
