23:15 hrs IST:That is all we have here. The party will go on for many days in the Caribbean. Darren Sammy and his 15 players have made cricket richer by winning their second World T20.
23:00 hrs IST: Here are the post-match comments:
Eoin Morgan: We felt we were in the game at the halfway stage. We didn't have enough runs on the board. It was a really good batting surface and we should have had 180-190 on the board. Badree got two early wickets, which was unfortunate for us. I am so proud of everybody in the squad.
Darren Sammy: I said before that we have 15 match winners in the side. Every game somebody took responsibility. To see him play like that in his debut world cup was amazing. Hopefully, with the right structure and development, we'll get better in ODIs and Tests as well.
Darren Sammy, Part 2: We started our journey. We all know we had. People were wondering whether we would play this tournament. We had a lot of issues and we felt disrespected by our board. Mark Nicholas described our team as a team of 'no brains.' All these things just before the tournament brought this team together. I want to really thank these 15 men with. The ability to put all those adversity aside and to come out and play this type of cricket in front of such passionate fans... it's just tremendous. I personally also want to thank the coaching staff.
Marlon Samuels (MoM): I have great respect for them, but this win means a lot to us. I just told him (Brathwaite) to swing and swing hard. I would like to say something. Shane Warne has been talking continuosly and I would want to say that this is for Shane Warne

18:00 hrs IST: However, here is the first news of the day. West Indies women have created history by winning the final against Australia by eight wickets to clinch their maiden title. With the West Indies winning the U-19 World Cup earlier in 2016, the West Indies senior team have a chance to create a hat-trick.
17:55 hrs IST: After a month of Twenty20 International, it has boiled down to this. West Indies, the 2012 champions, meet England, the 2010 champions at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Both England and West Indies have endured a roller-coaster ride in the World T20. England started off with a loss to the West Indies, chased down a record score against South Africa and held their nerve against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka to qualify for the semi-finals. In the semi-final, they put on a clinical display to hammer New Zealand by seven wickets.
For the West Indies, they have been magnificent in this World T20. Their flair and aggression have made them the toast of the World Cup. Barring their slip-up against Afghanistan, they put on a magnificent performance against India to get to the final.

Darren Sammy's Open Challenge
The West Indies skipper is on a mission. The West Indies have been playing focused cricket since the start of the tournament. "People just paint us as money-grabbing cricketers because of our success in T20 cricket but yet they still don't respect us in that format and we get that sometimes from our own board. A lot happened before the tournament started and I think in life I always believe everything happens for a reason. I think the pre-tournament shenanigans brought us really closer together as a team."
The West Indies have used all the distractions to galvanise themselves and they stand on the cusp of their second title. However, they will not be taking England, the 2010 champions, lightly.
England Continue to Surprise
From the depths of despair in the 2015 World Cup, Eoin Morgan's men have engineered a remarkable turnaround in the limited-overs format. They have defied expectations and are in the final of the 2016 World Cup.
The skipper has credited Paul Collingwood, the skipper who led England to their only ICC title triumph, for their turnaround.
"The key component in that has been the mindset of the players and back-room staff, and it's rubbed off on everyone." Jason Roy, who was the Man of the Match during the semi-final against New Zealand has said Morgan leads from the front.
"He's a great captain. He's got a great work ethic. And working under someone like that gives a huge amount of confidence," Roy stated.
