Sammy and Bravo broke into the 'Champion' dance after entering hotel
If there is one team in the word that knows how to party, it's the West Indies. After beating India by seven wickets in a thrilling ICC World T20 semi-final in Mumbai on Thursday night, a jubilant Caribbean team returned to their hotel in upbeat mood.
Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy broke into a song and dance to mark their momentous win. The duo did the 'Champion' jig - made popular by Bravo's chartbuster with the same title. (Two No-Balls That Cost Dhoni's Men A Final Berth)
The 'Champion' jig has become a West Indian trademark in this ICC World T20. A wicket fall, a fifty or a victory is invariably celebrated by the 'Champion' move where the Windies players stretch out and retract both their arms in a rhythmic fashion, chanting the opening the phrase lyrically.
The Simmons Show
Chasing 193, the West Indies were struggling at 19 for two after losing star batsman Chris Gayle for five, when Lendl Simmons rose to the occasion to become their unlikely hero.
Fighting jetlag after flying in as a late replacement for the injured Andre Fletcher, Simmons, who survived two no-ball catches, hit an unbeaten 82 to silence a raucous crowd.
Virat Kohli had earlier hit 11 fours and one six in his 47-ball knock as India set a target of 193, regarded as a below par score on a pitch which has seen a feast of runs during the tournament.
The West Indies will now take on England in the final on Sunday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Windies return to an amazing reception from their fans as well as Indian fans. Then they break out the #CHAMPION dance
