Arsenal FC striker Lukas Podolski showed his support for F1 legend Michael Schumacher by wearing a special boot during his team's triumphant match against Hull City in the FA Cup final on Saturday. The boots had the words 'Keep fighting Michael' written on them - a tribute to the fellow German who has been in a state of coma since a skiing injury in December last year.
ÂÂ
Footballers are known to have trophies and their initials designed on their boots for special events. Podolski however chose to flash his special message for compatriot Schumacher. "My boots for the final!! And the best wishes to Michael," he had tweeted before the match, with the image of the shoes.
ÂÂ
Arsenal managed to win their match - claiming their first title since 2005, and fans would be hoping that Schumacher keeps up the same spirit.
