Statistical highlights of the third day's play in the second cricket Test between India and the West Indies are as follow.
Ravi Rampaul posted his first duck against India - his fourth in Tests.
Marlon Samuels' unbeaten 78 off 172 balls is his highest innings at Bridgetown, Barbados. Samuels, for the sixth time in Tests, has recorded 75-plus in an innings. Thanks to his innings, Samuels is now averaging 30-plus in Tests - 1549 in 31 Tests at an average of 30.37, including two centuries and eleven fifties.
Ishant Sharma is the first Indian bowler to bag 6 wickets in a Test innings at Bridgetown, obliterating Dattu Phadkar's 5 for 64 in 1952-53. Abey Kuruvilla and Venkatesh Prasad had also taken five wickets in an innings at Bridgetown.
Sharma's 6 for 55 is his career-best in Tests - his second instance of five-wickets in an innings. His previous best figures in a Test innings was 5 for 118 against Pakistan at Bangalore in 2007-08.
