No workload concerns over 'high-energy' Warner: CA

He is one of Australia's busiest cricketers, playing in all three formats of the game, but dashing opener David Warner's workload is not a concern for the country's Board.

"The main workload concerns tend to be with bowlers and all-rounders," a Cricket Australia spokesman was quoted as saying by 'The Age'.

"David does work harder than the vast majority of batsmen because of the way he trains and fields. He is a high-energy and active fielder, but we don't have any workload concerns," he added.

Warner is currently playing in the four-match Test series against India which Australia lead 3-0. He scored a hundred in the third Test which fetched him the Man of the Match trophy.

The opener says he plans to take a break after turning up for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL this season.

"I think after the IPL I get three weeks off. Generally I'll take some time off ... and do my stuff, and after the one-day series in England we've got a three-week break as well, where most of the guys generally take their wives and girlfriends around Europe for a couple of weeks."

"If I get that opportunity and get selected in that tour then I'll probably do the same," Warner said.

Warner could play 11 Tests, up to 26 one-dayers and 12 Twenty20 matches this year for Australia.
