Australian spinner Nathan Lyon said on Saturday that he is confident of taking on 'India's old masters.'
In a report in The Sun Herald, the off-spinner was quoted as saying that he had played men when he was 12 and it toughned him up. "I'll just do the basics right and see how the game unfolds. My first hope is I'm picked for the Test, the team hasn't been named yet, fingers crossed I am and if I get to bowl against Sachin Tendulkar it will be unbelievable," he said and added that he did not fear the likes of Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman.
Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had earlier advised Lyon to be at his best if he wanted to get the better of the Indian batsmen. Lyon on his part, may not have much experience but said that the number of matches played would count for little. "Shane Warne is gone and done with," he said. "No one is going to be as good as he was so I just worry about what I can do, the tricks in my boxes and I'll take my opportunities."
