Highlights, India vs West Indies 1st ODI: Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century against the Windies in first ODI.

Top-order batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli notched up brilliant centuries as Team India chased down a 333-run target with eight wickets to spare in the first One-Day International (ODI) against the Windies at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. In the chase, India lost Shikhar Dhawan (4) early. However, from there on, Rohit (152 not out) and Kohli (140) forged a 246-run second-wicket stand to put India in cruise control. Kohli's 107-ball innings was laced with 21 boundaries and two hits over the fence while Rohit smashed 15 fours and eight sixes in his unbeaten 117-ball knock. For the Windies, Devendra Bishoo and debutant Oshane Thomas scalped a wicket each. Earlier, Shimron Hetmyer (106) and Kieran Powell (51) played brilliant individual knocks as the Windies posted a mammoth 322 for eight. Asked to bat first, Windies lost Chandrapaul Hemraj (9) early. Following the dismissal, Powell and Shai Hope (32) established a 65-run second wicket stand to pile pressure on the home side. Later, Hetmyer, whose 78-ball knock was laced with six boundaries and six hits over the fence, helped the Windies post a big total before being sent back by Ravindra Jadeja. Then Rovman Powell (22), Jason Holder (38), Devendra Bishoo (22 not out) and Kemar Roach (26 not out) played important cameos to help the Windies get past 300 runs.
