Former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara feels Sachin Tendulkar is sure to get his 100th international ton. Speaking to members of the press in Kolkata, the maverick batsman added that the Indian cricketer's records will be out of reach for others for years to come.
Lara cited examples from his own career and said rough patches are a part of a cricketers career but that Sachin is experienced enough to come out on top. "It's only a matter of time now. He's a legend and just too good not to get it. Ricky Ponting hadn't scored a century in two years till he got one at Sydney the other day. Such things happen even to the best and Sachin will get to his 100th hundred sooner than later,"
In a report published in a national daily, Lara was quoted as saying that he does not see any batsman surpassing milestones already reached by Sachin. "Most of the milestones Sachin is creating now will be beyond others. No one will be able to touch them."
