Steve Smith continued his unbeaten run with a half century in his first Test as captain, guiding Australia to 221-4 in reply to India's 408 before bad light stopped play on day two of the second Test. Catch all the highlights of the match here: (SCORECARD | SCHEDULE)
Smith, standing in for injured captain Michael Clarke, followed up his unbeaten 162 and 52 in the first Test win last week with an unbeaten 65 on Thursday. (Day 1)
Nine wickets fell in the first two sessions on day two, after India resumed at a commanding 311-4. The Australians took six wickets for 97 to dismiss India before lunch, with paceman Josh Hazlewood snaring 5-68 on his Test debut and wicketkeeper Brad Haddin equaling an Australian record with six catches.
Australia lost three wickets in the middle session, before putting on 100-1 after tea.

India struggled to bowl Australia out as their tail wagged in and frustrated the Indian bowlers. Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav grabbed three wickets each but all the bowlers were taken for runs. Interestingly, both the teams faced 109.4 overs. India need a good start here. If they lose couple of early wickets then they will be under immense pressure. Join us back for India's second innings.
Australia manage to get a 97-run lead in their first innings. They were 247/6 at one stage but the lower order contributed well and took Australia past the 500-run mark. Steven Smith was the hero with the bat. The Australian captain scored a 133-run knock and got good support from Mitchell Johnson who scored 88 runs off just 93 balls.
