As it stands, South Africa seem to be in a position of control, 82/0 in just 20 overs, chasing India's first innings total of 334. The hosts trail India by 252 runs in Kingsmead, Durban.
The match has seen a massive switch from where we were at 24 hours ago. India headed into Day 2 on 181 for one as South Africa were staring down the barrel. However, Dale Steyn - after a woeful first Test, produced an exhibition of seam and reverse-swing bowling to take six for 100 as India were bowled out for 334. The South African openers, Graeme Smith and Alviro Petersen, faced a tricky period of 20 overs but came out unscathed.
Steyn - a class act!
Steyn ran through the Indian middle-order in the first innings of the second Test in Durban as India were bowled out for 334. The 30-year-old took six for 100 in 30 overs to become the first South African bowler to take six wickets or more in an innings three times against India. The first two instances were 7 for 51 in Nagpur in February 2010 and 6 for 50 at this very ground in December 2010. Steyn picked up the crucial wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay and Rohit Sharma in one spell and ended India's innings, accounting for MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma with the second new ball. (Steyn back to his best)
"Steyn is a class act, no question about it," said NDTVs cricket expert Sunil Gavaskar. "He is the No.2 bowler in the world now and it was he who restricted India to 334." (Steyn proud of six-wicket haul)
Jacques Kallis became the second fielder to take 200 catches in Test cricket when he held a sharp chance to dismiss Ravindra Jadeja on the second day of the second and final Test between South Africa and India at Kingsmead on Friday.
Kallis, playing in his 166th and final Test match, joined India's Rahul Dravid, who held 210 catches in 164 matches. In addition to being second on the all-time list of catches by fielders, Kallis is fourth on the Test run-scoring list with 13,174 runs at an average of 55.12 and 29th among wicket-takers with 292 at an average of 32.65.
