Jacques Kallis reunites with model girlfriend Shamone Jardim
Jacques Kallis, who is playing his farewell Test match in Durban, has reportedly found his lady love back. After six years, Kallis and Shamone Jardim had separated but happy days seem to be back again.
Jacques Kallis, who is currently playing against India in his final Test match, is reportedly back with model girlfriend Shamone Jardim. This after the two had earlier opted to part ways. According to Mid-Day.com, Kallis and Shamone are back together after they brought an end to their almost six-year relationship. The love has in fact grown and the two, reports the website, plan to have a happy family life with Kallis opting to retire from Test cricket. (Read full report here)
A model and actress by profession, Shamone is not the first woman in Kallis' life. Kallis dated former Miss South Africa 2002 Cindy Nell, and was even engaged to her but he broke the relationship. After that, he dated Miss South Africa 2003 1st runner-up Marisa Eggli for a brief period. Since 2007, Kallis dated Shamone for six years. In June, Kallis and Shamone decided to part ways. Insiders say that this was the reason for Kallis pulling out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 in the UK. Kallis, in fact, took close to a two-year break from cricket, till he resumed recently with the series against Pakistan in the Emirates. During their relationship, Kallis and Shamone have been pictured at various social events around the world and Shamone has also been an ardent follower of the South African cricket. In fact, she has accompanied Kallis to India on several occasions while he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
Such has been her attraction towards India that Shamone was even quoted as saying that she would like to have one of her wedding ceremonies in an Indian village. "Yes. It will be fun. All of us will be there. I developed a liking for India when I visited some years ago. In my hometown ( Cape Town), I read a lot about Indian values and every time I come here, I have a different map and a different aim. Jacques has been very supportive in all this," she was quoted as saying in an interview to a national daily.
While they may have split soon after, the old plans may get a renewed boost now that she has reportedly reunited with Kallis - someone who makes her laugh all the time. "Everything about him is so nice. He's not just a great human being but also the perfect gentleman that any girl would look for. He can make you laugh even during pressure cooker-tense situations. That's why besides finding him hot, I also find him extremely cool," she had said earlier.
