Paralympic Committee of India Suspended by Sports Ministry
The Paralympic Committee of India has been suspended by the Sports Ministry due to complaints about the poor management of the 15th National Para Athletics Championships held in Ghaziabad. The PCI was earlier derecognized by the International Paralympic Committee.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Wednesday suspended the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) due to mismanagement and poor conduct of the Para Athletics Championships held from March 20-22 March in Ghaziabad. In an official communication sent to the committee, the Ministry said the decision was taken after an enquiry was conducted by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) into the complaints.(International Paralympic Committee Suspends 'Chaotic' Indian Federation for Infighting)
The PCI had earlier been derecognised by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for infighting on April 17. The international ban is for an indefinite period of time. This is the third time India have been suspended for violation of rules of governance.(Para-Athletes Face Official Apathy)
The Ministry has also urged the IPC to form an adhoc committee to enable the participation of Indian athletes in international events. The adhoc body will work till PCI is recognized again by the international federation, the ministry has suggested.(PCI President Sacked)
