Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Marsh will return to Australia to prepare for the upcoming West Indies tour.

Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Monday released batsman Shaun Marsh and pacer Mitchell Johnson so that they can prepare ahead of Australia's tour of the West Indies. (Standings | Stats | Fixtures)
"Two of our players Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Johnson have been granted permission to return home at their request for preparation of the upcoming West Indies Tour," KXIP said in a statement.

KXIP are languishing at the bottom of the table with only two wins from 11 matches and are out of race to qualify for the play-offs.

"We have a fine line up in place and are hopeful of a good performance in the upcoming matches."
KXIP face fifth placed Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday.
