Virat Kohli Named Captain of World Twenty20 Squad, Ashish Nehra Makes Playing XI
Virat Kohli was adjudged the Man of the Tournament of the ICC World Twenty20. MS Dhoni-led India lost to eventual champions West Indies in the semifinals. Veteran pacer Ashish Nehra is the second Indian in the World XI.

Virat Kohli has been named skipper of the World XI that was named by the ICC at the conclusion of the World Twenty20. Ashish Nehra is the second Indian player to find a berth. There was no place for Team India captain MS Dhoni. (Virat Kohli Adjudged Man of the Tournament in World T20)
Stafanie Taylor was named captain of the women's World XI. Player of the Tournament Taylor had led West Indies to a historic victory against Australia at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday. The teams were chosen by a select group of former cricket stars and highly respected commentators like Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop and Sanjay Manjrekar. They were given the task of picking a balanced side for all conditions on the basis of performances in the tournament. Statistics were used but were not the sole basis for selections.
The men's team, including 12th man, contained four players from England, two players each from India and the West Indies, and one each from Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand and South Africa.
The women's team comprised four players from New Zealand, two players each from Australia, England and the West Indies, and one player each from Pakistan and South Africa.
