South Africa Aaron Phangiso has been suspended after tests revealed he has an illegal bowling action, putting the left-arm spinner in doubt for the World Twenty20 this month. (Aaron Phangiso Reported For Suspected Illegal Bowling Action)
Cricket South Africa has withdrawn Phangiso from contention for two warm-up games against Australia, while he undergoes work on his action and is tested again Monday.
The suspension continues a troubled time for Phangiso, who was involved in alcohol and drug controversies in recent months.
He was forced to apologize after being barred from a flight home following last year's tour of India because he was drunk.
He was in trouble again last week after pretending to snort drugs when television cameras showed him sitting among South Africa's reserve players on the sidelines of a game against England.
