Adjudged man-of-the-match for his 80-run knock against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a World Cup Pool B encounter here Wednesday, Ireland's Gary Wilson said they would only take one game at a time and look to win four to qualify for the quarterfinals. Ireland's win was too close for comfort as they managed to scrape past their opposition total of 278 with only two wickets and four deliveries in hand. They earlier had upset two-time Cup champions the West Indies.
"We want four wins, all we can do is take each game as it comes," said an elated Wilson at the post match presentation ceremony.
Ireland at one stage were 171 for five in 38.2 overs, before the pair of Kevin O' Brien(50) and Wilson put on a partnership of 72 runs to put Ireland closer to victory. Wilson was the last wicket to fall at 267 after he had scored a swashbuckling 69-ball 80.
"I've batted a lot with Kev (Kevin), both at the county and the international level, and we dove-tailed well together," added Wilson.
