Virat Kohli and his star girlfriend Anushka Sharma have been on the wrong side of the Twiterrati since India's Cricket World Cup semifinal loss to Australia in Sydney on March 26. The colourful Yuvraj Singh, India's 2011 World Cup hero, has jumped to the duo's defence. (Kohli, Anushka land in Mumbai after World Cup 2015 exit)
Kohli scored just one run in the big chase as India faltered to put up a decent fight. Anushka Sharma was present at the ground and social media exploded with tweets against the Bollywood star. Kohli too, faced immense criticism from all-quarters.
Dear Anushka, it's always a bad idea to increase pressure on someone you love (Kohli) by being in stands that too in a crucial match. RIP.

Yuvraj, Kohli's former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore team-mate, came to his rescue on Sunday. He not only backed Kohli performances, he also asked the fans to show more respect to the young 26-year-old batting superstar.
To all our real Indian fans who support us in our wins and loses ! Let's respect @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma personal life

Yuvraj, whose off-field relationships were hotly discussed as much as his robust batting, also asked the fans not to invade in Kohli's private life and refrain from targetting his relationship with the Bollywood actress.
Someone who's scored 5 hundreds on Aus tour deserves much more respect and support from his fans !

Yuvraj, whose batting skills will soon be weighed against the record Rs 16 crore Delhi Daredevils paid for him for IPL 2015, also wrote that Kohli will bounce back from the disappointment and will shine for India in the upcoming series.
