After beating the West Indies by 143 runs in Wellington on Saturday, New Zealand became the second team after India to win seven successive games in cricket World Cup 2015. Both teams, which were on different groups in the league stage, have made the semifinals of the tournament. (Full Coverage)
New Zealand have won four and lost three out of seven games played versus West Indies in World Cups and have a winning percentage of 57.14. The victory margin produced by New Zealand is the biggest ever in terms of runs in the World Cup knock-out matches, bettering the 125-run win by Australia vs India at Johannesburg on March 23, 2003 (World Cup final).

# New Zealand's 393 for six wickets is the highest total by any team in World Cup knock-out games, eclipsing Australia's 359 for two vs India at Johannesburg on March 23, 2003.
# New Zealand's aforesaid total is the sixth highest in the history of the World Cup. Of the top six totals in World Cups, two have been recorded vs West Indies - both in this cricket World Cup 2015.
# New Zealand's 393 for six wickets is their third highest total in ODIs - the highest two being 402 for two vs Ireland at Aberdeen on July 1, 2008 and 397 for five vs Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on August 24, 2005. India are the only other team to have recorded a total of 300 in a knock-out games in World Cups -- 302 for six vs Bangladesh at Melbourne on March 19, 2015.
# New Zealand have posted their highest World Cup total, surpassing the 363 for five v Canada at Gros Islet on March 22, 2007. New Zealand's previous highest World Cup total vs West Indies was 241 for seven at Port Elizabeth on February 13,2003.
# New Zealand's 393/6 is the second highest by any team against West Indies in World Cups, next only to South Africa's 408 for five at Sydney on February 27, 2015.
