Live Score - Pakistan vs UAE
Ahmed Shehzad is adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock! That's it from the coverage of this match. You can switch to the other ongoing game between Australia and Afghanistan where David Warner is playing a gem of an innings. We'll be back tomorrow for the coverage of Bangladesh-Scotland clash at 0300 IST. Until then, it's goodbye!
Pakistan, on the other hand got early wickets but struggled to bowl UAE out early. Also they missed out a chance of improving their net run-rate by restricting UAE to a low score. This might come back to hurt them if there is a net run-rate situation for the quarter-final qualification in pool B. However the batting order finally clicked and they will take a lot of positives with this win to their next game against South Africa.
Pakistan have won it! They did not bowl out UAE but still have won it convincingly. UAE lost both their openers early and were struggling at 25/3 at the end of the 10th over. Shaiman Anwar and Khurram Khan got a partnership in between them but they never looked like reaching the target. Amjad Javed played some big shots towards the end but it was way too late. Shaiman Anwar again top scored with 62 off 88 balls.
THAT'S IT! Full outside off, Tauqir pushes it to covers and PAKISTAN WIN BY 129 RUNS.
Mohammad Tauqir is next in.
OUT! Bowled 'em! A perfect yorker on off stump, Patil misses tries to squeeze it out but fails and the ball knocks off his off stump.
The batsman goes for the hook but misses the line of the delivery.
Short outside off, Patil gets a top edge over backward point for a couple.
Mohammad Naveed is next in.
OUT! Consolidation wicket for Wahab! Short of a length, Javed does not connect his pull well and the ball goes high up in the air to long on. Sohail Khan does well to get to it and takes a good catch. Javed goes after a well made 40.
