'King' Lewis Hamilton is New Tri-Star in Mercedes' Iconic Logo
Mercedes Formula One team hailed Lewis Hamilton's 2014 triumph and in a new photo, replaced their much-recognised tri-star logo with the driver in the center of the circle.

Mercedes' logo is a recognized symbol around the world. The three-star logo - known to signify the dominance on land, sea and air, was altered on Monday to celebrate Lewis Hamilton's F1 triumph. (Final 2014 standings)
Hamilton won the 2014 F1 drivers' title on Sunday when he raced to the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi. His second title - Hamilton won the 2008 season as well - was celebrated by team members, family and fans with equal exhuberance. A day later, Mercedes' official Facebook page paid rich tributes to the 29-year-old driver and thanked him for his efforts. "Congratulations Lewis! You've won the 2014 Formula 1 drivers' championship and, with the MERCEDES PETRONAS Formula One Team, cemented your place in history. Here's to your second world championship and the contructors' title! We've only just begun," read a message below the Mercedes logo in which Hamilton replaced the iconic tri-star symbol.
Hamilton finished the season with 384 points, ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg, who finished with 317 points. Mercedes team was the undisputed champion with a total of 701 points - 296 points ahead of second-placed Red Bull.
