Mumbai:
Keen tussle for supremacy is on the cards when Mahindra United, Mumbai, clash with Kolkata giants East Bengal in a National Football League match at the Cooperage grounds here tomorrow.
East Bengal are handicapped somewhat by the absence of stopper back Deepak Mondal and prolific scorer Joe Paul Ancheri, both sidelined due to injury.
However, the two Indian internationals, forward I M Vijayan and goalkeeper Sangram Mukherjee, are the two players to watch along with the Nigerian mid-fielders Falix Obyomi and Isiaka.
Another impressive player in their line-up is attacking mid-fielder Bijen Singh. For the home team, the two Nigerian forwards Akolo and Bala Usman have been doing most of the scoring so far in the tournament while Virender Singh has been quite solid under the bar.
Farooq Hyder is eligible to play after serving one-match ban while their defence consists of Jeevan Moras, Bernard Opernezie, Tapan Ghosh and Anthony Periera.
Their mid-field consists of Khalid Jamal, S Venkatesh, Raman Vijayan and Mohammed Najeeb. (PTI)
