He is nicknamed 'King of Spin'. She is famous as the 'Bra Queen'. While there may not be a connection in their 'titles', the same cannot be said about the 'friendship' between former Australia cricketer Shane Warne and former lingerie model Michelle Mone.
Days after UK media speculated that Warne may have patched up with former fiance Elizabeth Hurley, The Sun reported that the Aussie was romancing Mone in The Dorchester Hotel, in London - for over four hours! The 44-year-old Warne is said to have showered 42-year-old Mone with champagne and red roses just hours after spending Valentine's Day with Hurley.
Known to be an eternal romantic, this is not the first time that Warne has found himself as the prime target of rumours.
Life off the cricket field has been a tale of bowling maidens over for Warne who has been married once - to Simone Callaham (1995-2005), and has three children from that marriage. Warne has since been linked to several women with the 'partnership' with Hurley being the most stable.
Warne and Hurley appeared close and were on the verge of getting married. The pair however split late last year - apparently because Warne refused to set a wedding date. Earlier this month though, he was seen with the British actress - four years his senior - and fans on social networking websites celebrated what appeared a sign of a 'reunion'. His latest escapade though can be a sign that Warne is not resuming an 'older' innings and instead, has his eyes set on the 'minimalistic' joys of life. After all, a source was quoted by The Sun as saying that Mone - now a bra designer by profession, sees the relationship as "the beginning of something special for them both''.
Warne however has since rubbished the claims and wrote on his Twitter account that the reports were an "absolute load of rubbish!"
