Usman Khawaja was adjudged to have edged a delivery by Graeme Swann to wicketkeeper Matt Prior, despite replay technology failing to provide any evidence that he touched the ball with his bat.
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has taken to Twitter to complain about a controversial decision to give one of his country's batsmen out during the third Ashes test against England on Thursday.

Rudd tweeted "I've just sat down to watch the test. That was one of the worst cricket umpiring decisions I have ever seen."
The call - upheld after a review - appeared to be widely condemned, with Australia bowling great Shane Warne calling it a "ridiculous decision." (Related read: Cricket Australia lodge complaint)
It left Australia 82-2 in the opening session, with the team needing victory to stay alive in the five-test series.
