Sania, Bhupathi upset in mixed doubles opener
India's mixed doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi crashed out in the opening round of the US Open on Thursday.

India's mixed doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi crashed out in the opening round of the US Open on Thursday.
The 6th seeded pair lost 3-6, 6-7 to Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak of the Czech Republic.
Earlier, Sania had also crashed out of the women's singles after going down to Israel's Shahar Peer in round 1. She, however, did advance to the 2nd round of women's doubles with partner Elena Vesnina.
Bhupathi will also play in men's double round 2 after having won his first round match with partner Leander Paes.
