Kumar Sangakkara was unbeaten on one and nightwatchman Dhammika Prasad was on three after India removed both openers in the first two overs.
India, replying to Sri Lanka's first innings score of 183, were all out for 375 just before stumps.

So India has managed to bowl out the hosts, finally. A massive effort from the Lankan middle order to give a stern fightback. Chandimal remained unbeaten on 162 and was supported perfectly by Mubarak who was dismissed one short of his deserving half century. Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers who picked up a 4-fer and Mishra a 3-fer. India need 176 runs to wrap up the Test match. With a few overs to play in the day, they will look to start off solidly and not lose any wickets. We will be back with the action in a while, stay tuned.
