India vs South Africa: Ajinkya Rahane first Indian to hit two fifties in same Test at Kingsmead

Ajinkya Rahane (51 not out & 96) became the first Indian player to record a fifty in each innings of a Test match at Kingsmead, Durban.  He has accomplished the feat for the first time in Tests.

Ajinkya Rahane's resistance earned him many accolades. While he may have missed out on a ton, his 96 showed he is meant to play at the highest level of the game. Here are the records he was involved in:

# Ajinkya Rahane (51 not out & 96) became the first Indian player to record a fifty in each innings of a Test match at Kingsmead, Durban.  He has accomplished the feat for the first time in Tests.

# Rahene has joined four Indian batsmen (Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli) who have registered a fifty in each innings of a Test match vs South Africa in South Africa.

# Rahane's aggregate of 147 is an Indian record at Kingsmead, Durban, outstripping VVS Laxman's tally of 134 (38 & 96) in December 2010.

# Rahane became the third Indian batsman to be dismissed in the nervous nineties at Kingsmead, Durban, joining Murali Vijay (97 in the first innings - 2013-14) and VVS Laxman (96 in December 2010).

# Rahane is the third Indian batsman to manage 200 runs in the recently concluded series - 209 (ave.69.66), including two fifties.
