We are international athletes, do not do drugs: Parnell

Wayne Parnell, the South African and Pune Warriors' all-rounder who was detained with teammate Rahul Sharma on charges of consuming banned drugs at a rave party on Sunday, issued a statement a day later saying as international athletes who get tested regularly, he was sure of his results coming clean.
Parnell said he and Sharma were invited to a friend's birthday party and had planned to leave the Juhu hotel by 8pm. "Myself and Rahul (Sharma) were invited to a friend's birthday party and we arrived at the hotel at around 17h30 in the afternoon. We had planned on leaving the party at 20h00 to get some dinner and at around 19h00 the raid happened," he said adding that they were sent to a hospital in Mumbai where blood and urine samples were taken.
"As International cricketers we get tested regularly for drugs as part of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), so I am confident that nothing will show up in my urine and blood tests."
The Protean further mentioned that at no stage did he was arrested or detained. "At no stage was I arrested or detained, I was calm because I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
