Renewed deal with hockey costs Sahara 170 percent more
Sahara India officially renewed it's sponsorship with the Men & Women National and Junior Hockey Teams for a period of 5 years, on Wednesday, at a rate 170 percent higher than the previous sponsorship amount given to Hockey India.

Sahara last weekend has ended it's eleven year sponsorship deal with the national cricket team but had assured that it would continue to support hockey. In a realease on Wednesday, Managing Worker & Chairman of the group - Subroto Roy - said that his company was proud to be associated with the national sport of the country.
"It is our national game and we are proud to be associated with this game and are elated to continue our patronage and support for the game. We will achieve greater laurels and success in the sport of hockey in the coming years and Sahara India Pariwar is committed to the development of sport at all levels."
Sahara India has sponsored the Indian Hocket Team since 2003.
