# Virat Kohli (73 not out off 53 balls) has posted his highest score in the IPL - his second fifty in the IPL 5.  The said innings is his eighth fifty in the IPL.

# Kohli, in the course of his aforesaid knock, has completed his 300 runs in the IPL 5 - 322 at an average of 26.83 in 15 matches.

# Ross Taylor's splendid 22-ball fifty is the fourth fastest in the IPL 5.  The said knock is his 16th fifty in Twenty20.

# Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli were associated in a stand of 204 (unbroken) for the second wicket - the second highest in the IPL, next only to the 206 for the second wicket between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh for Punjab against Bangalore at Dharamsala on May 17, 2011.

# The aforesaid partnership is the highest by any pair against Delhi Daredevils in the IPL, outstripping the 145 (unbroken) for the third wicket between Robin Uthappa an Manish Pandey for Pune at Pune on April 24, 2012.

# The Delhi-Bangalore game has registered 409 runs for the loss of ten wickets - the second highest in the IPL 5 - the highest is 413 for 13 off 40 overs between Chennai and Bangalore at Chennai on April 12.

# Delhi (194 for 9) have recorded their highest total against Bangalore - their fourth highest in the IPL.  Delhi's highest ever is 231 for four against Punjab at Delhi on April 23, 2011.

# Bangalore (215/1) have posted their highest total in the IPL, surpassing the 205 for six against Punjab at Bangalore on May 6, 2011.

# Bangalore's above total is the second highest against Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. next only to the 218 for 7 by Mumbai Indians at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on March 17, 2010.

# The aforesaid total is the highest by any team in the IPL 2012, surpassing the 208 for five by Chennai against Bangalore at Chennai on April 12.

# Bangalore have won eight and lost six out of 15 contested in the IPL 2012 (NR 1).  They are placed fifth in the Points Table.

# Delhi have won ten and lost five out of 15 played in the IPL 2012.  They are placed at the top of the table.

# Delhi have won five and lost four out of nine contested against Bangalore in the IPL - success % 55.55.

# Chris Gayle's marvellous unbeaten knock of 128 off 62 balls is the highest individual innings for Bangalore in the IPL, eclipsing the 114 not out by Manish Pandey
against Deccan Chargers at Centurion on May 21, 2009.

# Gayle's aforesaid innings is his highest in Twenty20. Of the four hundreds posted for Bangalore in the IPL, three have been registered by Gayle

# David Warner and Adam Gilchrist have recorded two hundreds each in the IPL.

# Chris Gayle is the first batsman to register 50 sixes (57) in an IPL tournament, eclipsing his own tally of 44 sixes last year.

# Besides recording 600-plus in a competition twice by Gayle and once by Sachin Tendulkar, Shaun Marsh is the only other batsman to make 600 runs - 616 (ave.68.44) in 11 matches for Punjab in 2007-08.

# Gayle became the first batsman to post a hundred and seven fifties in an IPL competition.

# Gayle has equalled Brendon McCullum's feat of 13 sixes in an IPL innings.  During his innings of 158 not out off 73 balls for Kolkata against Bangalore at Bangalore on April 18, 2008, McCullum had recorded 13 sixes.

# Gayle has registered 127 sixes, extending his IPL record.  His tally of 279 sixes is a record in Twenty20.

# Fourteen sixes have been registered in Bangalore's innings, equalling their record in the IPL.  Against Pune at Bangalore on April 17, 2012, they had recorded 14 sixes.

# Virender Sehwag (484), Kevin Pietersen (305), Mahela Jayawardene (232) and Naman Ojha (215) are the top run-scorers for Delhi in the IPL 5.

# Zaheer Khan (3/38) has recorded his best bowling performance in the IPL 5.

# Vinay Kumar (16), Zaheer Khan (15) and Muraliltharan (14) are the three top wicket-takers for Bangalore in the IPL 5.

# Chris Gayle has received his fifth Man of the Match award in the IPL 5 - the most by a player. With 12 MOM awards, Gayle has set a record in the IPL.

# Gayle has got the Man of the Match award 21 times, extending his record in Twenty20.
