# Azhar has received his 17th Man of the Match award in Twenty20.  Only Chris Gayle and Brad Hodge have got more MOM awards (18 each) than Azhar Mahmood in Twenty20.

# Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli were involved in a stand of 119  for the second wicket - Bangalore's highest for any wicket at Bangalore in the IPL, eclipsing the 111 between the same pair for the second wicket against Punjab on May 6, 2011.

# The aforesaid stand is a record for Bangalore for the second wicket against Punjab in the IPL.

# The 119-run stand is the second highest for the second wicket for Bangalore in the IPL, next only to the 126 (unbroken) between Kallis and Uthappa against Mumbai Indians at Johannesburg on May 3, 2009.

# Gayle (407 at 50.87) is the third batsman to make 400 runs in the IPL 5, joining Rahane (458) and Sehwag (445).

# Gayle is the third batsman to manage 1000 runs for Bangalore in the IPL - 1015 runs at an average of 59.70 in 21 matches, including two centuries and eight fifties.  The two leading run-getters for Bangalore in the IPL are - Kohli (1467) and Kallis (1132).
