The BCCI found Kohli breaching the rule relating to the minimum standards for Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA).
Kohli chatted with Anushka in the VIP enclosure adjacent to the players' dressing room.
The International Cricket Council's (ICC) Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) sent a report to Sawani informing about the violation, the cricket-specific website said in a report.
ACSU has been contracted by the BCCI to provide anti-corruption cover during the IPL.
RCB will take on Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match in Pune on Wednesday.
