Mumbai Indians, struggling to find the form they would have loved to in IPL 8, have suffered another body blow in quick time. New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has joined Aaron Finch and Josh Hazlewood on the list of injured players forced to quit the tournament. (Full IPL Coverage)
In-form Anderson - two fifties in four matches -- has a fractured finger in his left-hand. He is flying back to New Zealand to recover for the tour of England in May. Anderson will also have a stint with Somerset. Mumbai Indians will play Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Thursday.
Mumbai have so far lost three frontline foreigners. Hazlewood pulled out after the World Cup. He was part of the champion Australian side. And Finch will be out of action for 12 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Mumbai's second match.
Anderson is the second Kiwi player to bow out of IPL with an injury. Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost quickie Adam Milne due to a heel injury.
