1657 hrs IST: And that is that. Hosts and at 92/0 and the match ends in a draw. Had something in it for both teams, so a fair result in the end.
1633 hrs IST: Hosts moving steadily as openers Pujara and Rahul play for stumps.
1522 hrs IST: WICKET! Dale Steyn is the last man to be dismissed and South Africans have folded for 302, taking a lead of 6 runs. Steyn entertained the fans before falling to Kuldeep Yadav for 37 off 28 balls. His quickfire knock included six fours and a huge six. For Board President's XI, Shardul Thakur picked up four wickets while Jayant Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav bagged two wickets each.
1435 hrs IST: WICKET! Jayant Yadav gets the big fish AB de Villiers for 112 off 131 balls and that will also be tea. The in-form batsman hit 18 fours in his magnificent knock. South Africans 259/8, trail Board President's XI by 37 runs

1403 hrs IST: HUNDRED! AB de Villiers brings up his century off 113 balls. What a knock it has been. South Africans 241/7, trail Board President's XI by 55 runs.
1340 hrs IST: WICKET! Dane Vilas departs for 54. Jayant Yadav breaks the 115-run stand between Vilas and AB de Villiers. South Africans are 226/7, trail Board President's XI by 70 runs.
1256 hrs IST: FIFTY! AB de Villiers brings up his half-century. South Africans reach 163/6 in 40 overs, trailing Board President's XI by 133 runs.
1140 hrs IST: LUNCH! That's the end of first session on second day and the hosts clearly have the upper hand in the game. AB de Villiers is batting beautifully on 38 and is joined by Dane Vilas (3*) as the South Africans reach 122/6 in 33 overs. Shardul Thakur has picked up four wickets while a wicket apiece for Hardik Pandya and Nathu Singh.
1120 hrs IST: WICKET! Hardik Pandya joins the party. He removes Temba Bavuma for 15. South Africans 111/6 in 27.2 overs in reply to Board President's XI 296
1020 hrs IST: What a superb start it has been for the Board President's XI on Day 2. Shardul Thakur is at it again as he removes Faf du Plessis (4) and Hashim Amla (1) before Nathu Singh gets Dean Elgar (23) to reduce South Africans to 57/5 in 15.5 overs.

South Africa ended Day 1 on 46/2 after having bowled out the hosts for 296. Will their batsmen hold on fora draw or shall they go for a win. The Board President's XI will no doubt look to bowl the opposition out. A victory for either side will be a morale booster ahead of the Test series starting on November 5.
Rahul, Ojha Shine for Hosts
Lokesh Rahul enhanced his case for inclusion in India's first Test XI with a composed half century, guiding Board President's XI past a difficult period on day one of the two-day practice game against visiting South Africa. Naman Ojha later feasted on the spinners while making 52 in 110 minutes with 7 fours and a six before he was dismissed by Dale Steyn for his third wicket when the fast bowler came back for his third spell, after tea. Ojha Not Sure of Test Spot
Striking a confident half-century for Board President's XI against the visiting South Africans in the two-day practice game, wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha today said he is keen to make amends after an average Test debut against Sri Lanka. Ojha made a valiant 52 against a potent Proteas attack led by Dale Steyn, who got the wicketkeeper caught by Hashim Amla. (Read More)
'Mohali Will be a Sporting Wicket'
A good cricketing strip is in the offing for the Test series opener between India and South Africa at Mohali, as the wicket will help fast bowlers initially and later spinners will come into play, Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) secretary MP Pandove said on Friday. The Indian Team, which has lost the T20 and the ODI series against the visiting South Africans, will be looking forward to make amends under the command of Virat Kohli in the first Test scheduled to played here from November 5-9.
