Ahmedabad:

In his first Test in the western region, Cheteshwar Pujara(nicknamed Chintu) gave his supporters much reason to smile as he ended Day 2 of the first Test against England with a superb double century. But his knock was special in more ways than one.

He also delighted his fiancee Pooja, who he got engaged to only recently, who was seen cheering her man from the stands as he marched towards the feat.

The Saurashtra lad, who is playing in his sixth Test, got to his second Test century. His first came in August during the Test against New Zealand at Hyderabad.

It's been just 10 days that the cricketer got engaged to the Rajkot-based Pooja, who is a MBA in retail management and comes from Jamjodhpur in Jamnagar district in Gujarat.

It was a hasty engagement for the two as Pujara has been too busy with his cricket. And since the future doesn't allow any window either, the families had reportedly thought it was better to have them engaged at least.

With the way Pujara is playing currently, it doesn't seem that he'll have time to marry anytime soon. But no one's complaining as long as he keeps coming up with more centuries like this one.
