WOAH!!! Kuldeep Yadav dismisses Saleem Safi for duck. With this wicket, Afghanistan have been bowled out as last batter Sharafuddin Ashraf did not come out to bat due to injury. This means, India beat Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs. Terrific win for India and a memorable day for Manav Suthar for seven wickets.

OUT!!! Washington Sundar gets his fourth wicket of the day and this time, he dismisses Azmatullah Omarzai for 4. Omarzai sits down on his knee and slog sweeps it high. Kuldeep misjudges it a little, circles around but comes in and takes a good catch. Seventh wicket gone for Afghanistan.

OUT!!! Manav Suthar finally gets his first wicket of the innings and he dismisses Afsar Zazai for 8. Striking directly onto the pads of Zazai, the on-field umpire signals LBW out. Afghanistan then opt for DRS review but the decision stays in the favour of India. Afghanistan six down.

Afsar Zazai has been joined in the middle by Azmatullah Omarzai as the third and final session of the day begins. Washington Sundar, who already has three wickets to his name, would be keen not to let the new batting pair settle. It's Manav Suthar who has the ball in hand as the session begins.

OUT!!! On the last delivery of the second session, Washington Sundar strikes again and dismisses the strong Sediqullah Atal for 42. A mistimed shot landed straight into the hands of Prasidh Krishna a the mid-off. Half of the Afghanistan team has been dismissed and now, it's the TEA BREAK. Afghanistan still trail by 314 runs.

OUT!!! Washington Sundar strikes again and this time, he removes Hashmatullah Shahidi for 5. Shahidi tries to play a defensive shot but the ball hits the outside edge before Shubman Gill takes a low catch at the first slip. The third umpire reviews it and then declares it out. India are now just six wickets away from a big victory.

Totally confused by the spin, Rahmat mistimes a shot, which goes straight into the hands of Manav Suthar at the mid-off. A big wicket for India as Rahmat Shah played a 60-run knock in the first innings. Afghanistan's batting order is staring at another collapse.

SIX!!! Rahmat Shah hits a massive six on Washington Sundar's delivery. Rahmat comes down the pitch, gets close to the ball and that allows him to lift it over mid-on and send the ball into the stands. Brilliant shot. Sundar concedes seven runs in the over.

OUT!!! Kuldeep Yadav strikes after leaking too many runs in the previous over and traps Rahmanullah Gurbaz for 24. A tossed up delivery outside off as Gurbaz was looking to go over mid-off with the lofted drive, but the bat turned on impact and he ended up dragging it right down to Prasidh Krishna's at long-on. First wicket of the match for Kuldeep as Afghanistan go two down.

WOAH!!! A big over for Afghanistan as Rahmanullah Gurbaz takes on Kuldeep Yadav. In the spinner's over, Gurbaz hits a boundary and a massive six as Kuldeep concedes 14 runs. The partnership between Gurbaz and Sediqullah Atal is truly proving to be beneficial for Afghanistan.

FOUR!!! Terrific boundary from Rahmanullah Gurbaz on Washington Sundar's delivery. Sundar tried targetting the stumps but Gurbaz perfectly placed a reverse sweep as the ball raced across the boundary line for a four. Sundar conceded six runs in the over.

OUT!!! Finally, the deadlock has been broken as Mohammed Siraj dismissed Abdul Malik for 8. Siraj struck onto the pads of Malik as the on-field umpire signalled LBW out. Despite going for the DRS, the decision stayed in the favour of India. Shubman Gill's strategy of introducing Siraj into the attack worked. First wicket gone for Afghanistan.

DROPPED!!! Oh, that could have been taken by Rishabh Pant. Manav Suthar once again provided India a breakthrough but Pant failed to capitalise on it. Abdul Malik tried to play a shot but the hit the thick edge and went backwards. It looked like a catch but the ball deflected after hitting Pant's gloves. Abdul Malik turned out to be lucky.

This marks the end of the first session on Day 3 of the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan. At Lunch, Afghanistan's scored read 18/0 with Sediqullah Atal (16*) and Abdul Malik (2*) are standing unbeaten as the visitors trail by 394 runs. In the first session, Manav Suthar registered a six-wicket haul as India bundled out Afghanistan for 152 and then imposed a follow-on. 

WOAH! Sediqullah Atal takes on Manav Suthar and hits 12 runs in his previous over. This includes a massive first-ball six and a brilliant boundary on the fifth delivery. Afghanistan need more of such overs from their openers, in order to reduce the massive trail.

FOUR!!! Sediqullah Atal hits a brilliant boundary in the first over of Manav Suthar. Atal sees a flighted delivery and decides to play the big shot, ends up dragging it off the inner half and the ball races to deep square leg. Both Atal and Abdul Malik are looking for a solid opening partnership.

We are back with Afghanistan's second innings after the follow-on was imposed on them by India. For the visitors, Sediqullah Atal and Abdul Malik have opened the proceedings as Afghanistan trail by 412 runs. On the other hand, Manav Suthar will be bowling the first over of the innings. 

Washington Sundar joined the party in style and dismissed Zia Ur Rehman for 6 as India bundled out Afghanistan for 152. Leading by 412 runs, India have now imposed the follow-on on Afghanistan. For India, debutant Manav Suthar was the star bowler as he took six wickets, while Prasidh Krishna took three and Washington Sundar took one. For the visitors, Rahmat Shah was the only saving grace with his 60-run knock. 

After claiming his five-wicket haul, Manav Suthar strikes again in the same over and dismisses Saleem Safi for duck. Suthar strikes onto the pads of Safi as the on-field umpire signals LBW out. Safi thought of going for a DRS but eventually walked back as Afghanistan lost their ninth wicket. Sixth wicket for Manav.

OUT!!!! Manav Suthar gets the fifer on his debut and he gets the big wicket of Rahmat Shah for 60. Trying to go for a sweep, the ball spins brilliantly and then rattles the middle and the leg stump. A historic moment for the young spinner as he joins the elite list of Indian bowlers to get a five-wicket haul on debut. Afghanistan go 8 down.

OUT!!! Manav Suthar gets his fourth wicket of the innings and this time, he traps Sharafuddin Ashraf for 11. A perfect spin delivery, Ashraf thought of slogging it but the ball hits the outside edge and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant grabs an excellent catch. The on-field umpire initially signalled not out but India went for a DRS which showed that the ball had hit the edge before Pant completed the catch. Seventh wicket gone for Afghanistan and a memorable moment for debutant Suthar.

The duo of Rahmat Shah and Sharafuddin Ashraf is forming a steady partnership and keeping the scoreboard going for Afghanistan. Both the batters are slowly rotating the strike and protecting their wicket. In the previous over of Kuldeep Yadav, the duo scored 2 runs.

Afghanistan batter Sharafuddin Ashraf is playing with leg. He is struggling to walk but still standing solid for Afghanistan. In the previous over of Kuldeep Yadav, Ashraf had a painful moment and screams. Seeing this, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant quickly rushed to him and comforted him before the physio arrived on the field. This is the true sportsmanship.

India skipper Shubman Gill changes the bowling lineup and hands over the ball to Mohammed Siraj. However, he makes a big mistake in the over as Siraj appeals for LBW against Sharafuddin Ashraf but the on-field umpire signals Not Out. In desperation of a breakthrough, Gill opts for a DRS, which then shows that the ball had actually hit the bat before touching the pads. As a result, India lose another review and are left with just one.

FIFTY!!! Rahmat Shah hits a boundary on Prasidh Krishna's delivery and brings up his half-century in style. It is sixth half-century in Tests for Afghanistan and he brings it up in 100 balls. A mature knock from the Afghan batter as the visitors are not giving up easily.

BOWLED!!!! Prasidh Krishna strikes early and cleans up Azmatullah Omarzai for duck. A loose shot from the Punjab Kings star. The ball hits the inside edge and then rattles the leg-stump. With disappointment on his face, Omarzai walks back to the dugout as celebrations erupt in the Indian camp. Sixth wicket gone for Afghanistan.

Manav Suthar comes to bowl a full over and delivers a maiden. Indian bowlers have successfully managed to put Afghanistan batters under pressure. The visitors need to break the shackles to bounce back into the match.

A good start for India on Day 3 as Prasidh Krishna bowled a maiden over. The duo of Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai is not taking any risks in the early hours of the game and taking it slow. However, it will be interesting to see if they change gears in the upcoming overs.

The Day 3 of the one-off Test between India and Afghanistan finally begins. For Afghanistan, Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai have resumed the innings for Afghanistan from 113/5. The duo need to form a solid partnership, in order to avoid the follow-on. On the other hand, Manav Suthar will be continuing his over from Day 2. 

If Manav Suthar gets two more wickets today, he will become the 10th Indian bowler to get a five-wicket haul on his debut. The list also includes the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel. Apart from this, he has already joined the elite list of Indian bowlers, who got wickets in the first over of their Test debut. All eyes are now on the young spinner. 

"It still looks brand new, to be honest. Well done to the curator of the ground. The ground's in terrific nick. The pitch looks fantastic. It's been so hot as well, but it's held together beautifully. Again, you can see some areas here where the foot marks from the bowlers are creating a little bit rough. But look, it's spun from the straight ball yesterday. So I'm assuming today you'll see a little bit more spin. Maybe it stay a little bit lower as the game goes on. So you see the class bowlers really attack the stumps and bowl quite straight. But I think it's going to be about how do you play spin and how do you bowl spin," reckon Deep Dasgupta and Michael Clarke.

“He (Suthar) has been brilliant. We as players who have been playing with him in the last few years know what he can actually bring to the table, especially in this format. The amount of skills he's got and the way he's sort of worked on them over the years is a genuine treat to watch. For him to bring out his best skill sets, especially on Day 2, is amazing. Congrats to him, and you can expect a lot more from him, especially in terms of winning a lot of games for India," Washington, who scored an unbeaten half-century in India's first innings, said. 

Debutant left-arm spinner Manav Suthar is blessed with amazing skills-sets and will be a treat to watch in the coming days, reckoned all-rounder Washington Sundar. Asked to comment on Suthar's performance, the off-spinner was all-praise.

Afghanistan's batting order suffered a horrific collapse on Day 2 as they were five down for 113 at stumps. The onus is now on Rahmat Shah, who is batting at 43 and keeping some hopes alive for the visitors. Afghanistan need to bat a bit longer, in order to avoid the follow-on threat. 

"My focus during the spell seemed to be on bowling in the right areas and backing my strengths. The wicket was helping, so my effort was to bowl in the right areas and hit the right length as consistently as possible. (When did you learn that you were making your debut?) I found out only in the morning when we arrived at the ground. (But you were prepared?) Yes, sir. (Could you tell us a little more about what those strengths are?) The focus was simple. The wicket was offering some help and my strength is getting the ball to turn. So my aim was to extract as much turn as possible because the pitch was assisting," said Manav Suthar at the end of play on Day 2. 

Debutant Manav Suthar's classical left-arm spin bowling was a beacon of hope for a bright future as his three wickets gave India complete control on the second day of their one-off Test against Afghanistan. With three wickets on Day 2, Suthar is aiming to get a five-wicket haul on his Test debut. 

India reduced Afghanistan to 113 for five at stumps after declaring their first innings on 564 for 8 on Day 2 of the one-off Test on Sunday. Debutant Manav Suthar (3/21) bagged his maiden wicket, as he dismissed Abdul Malik for 16 at the stroke of tea. He later got the scalps of Rahmanullah Gurbaz (12) and Afsar Zazai (3). Prasidh Krishna (2/27) was the other wicket-taker for India. Rahmat Shah was batting on 43 not out as stumps was called at the dismissal of Zazai. Afghanistan reached 113 for 5 from 39.5 overs. The visitors trail by 451 runs.
