BCCI constitutes Dilip Sardesai award for ongoing Test series
The Board of Control for Cricket in India constituted the Dilip Sardesai award on Monday and it will be presented to the best Indian player in each of the three Tests currently underway against the West Indies.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India constituted the Dilip Sardesai award on Monday and it will be presented to the best Indian player in each of the three Tests currently underway against the West Indies.
The awards will be presented in the BCCI Awards Ceremony for the year 2010-11 and has been named in remembrance of the former Test batsman who is regarded as one of the most prolific players of spin. Sardesai is best known for his double-hundred against New Zealand in 1964-65 and his rescue act against the West Indies after his side had collapsed to 75 for 5. His other achievements too are noteworthy.
