World Cup 2015 : Cricketing Legends to Grace Opening Events

Christchurch and Melbourne will host the opening events of the ICC World Cup on Feb 12.
The Christchurch event will be a free, family-friendly event featuring appearances by leading New Zealand artists Solo3 Mio, Ginny Blackmore and Hayley Westenra, as well as cricketing legends Richard Hadlee, Stephen Fleming and current New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum. The Melbourne celebration will involve former and current World Cup players and legends, cultural and music performances, a fireworks display and a yet to be revealed 'special moment'. The Christchurch event will be held at North Hagley Park while the Melbourne event will be hosted at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Linlithgow Ave.
