Live Score - New Zealand vs England
Tim Southee is adjudged the Man of the Match for his match winning spell of 7 for 33. That's all we have for today. Do join us back tomorrow for a double header between Pakistan and West Indies at 0330 IST and Australia and Bangladesh at 0900 IST. Till then it's goodbye from us and take care.
The Kiwis back for the chase were supposed to see off the first few initial overs. McCullum though had other plans as he went berserk and knocked over all the bowlers, slamming a 25 ball 77. Woakes got rid of McCullum and towards the end scalped the wicket of Guptill. The Kiwis got home comfortably in the end winning by 8 wickets and 226 ball to spare.
Morgan and Root where the only two men who put up a substantial stand together. After Morgan departed, no one really showed any resistance to hang in there with Root who watched wickets tumble one after the other at the other end. England were bowled out for a mere 123 on the board.
A completely one sided affair as the Kiwis notched up their third win. England put up a dismal show as they were rattled through by the Southee storm who picked up 7 for 33. They had no answer to the opening bowling pair of Southee and Boult as they lost three quick wickets.
