Shikhar Dhawan smashed a rollicking 137 as India rode on a clinical display to break their World Cup jinx against South Africa with an emphatic 130-run victory in a group B match on Sunday. Catch all the highlights of the match here: (SCORECARD | SCHEDULE)
Dhawan's career-best 137 propelled India to a comfortable 307 for seven before the bowlers performed brilliantly to bundle out the Proteas for 177 in 40.2 overs in what turned out to be a rather lopsided contest at the packed Melbourne Cricket Ground.
This was India's maiden World Cup win against South Africa after having lost the clashes in 1992, 1999 and 2011.
With two wins from as many matches, India now have a very good chance of qualifying for the quarterfinals as group leaders.

The Man of the Match goes to SHIKHAR DHAWAN for his brilliant century! He thinks, it was an important knock and it was great for the team. Says that, India lost an early wicket and after that they (Kohli and him) played it sensibly. After the 25th over, whenever he got loose deliveries, he tried to put them away. During the run chase, South Africa lost an early wicket of de Kock. de Villiers and du Plessis had a decent partnership for the third wicket but once AB de Villiers departed, South Africa lost wickets at regular intervals after that. Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets. Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma picked up two wickets each.
India have won it for the first time against South Africa in World Cups. They outplayed the Proteas today! India set a huge target for South Africa in the first half. For that, they need to thank that man, Shikhar Dhawan who got a brilliant century. Also, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli played crucial knocks of 79 and 46 respectively.
